I have been investigating the release of the Australian film "Welcome to Woop Woop".
"Welcome to Woop Woop" is an interesting film to look at for a number of reasons. It claims to be a throw back to the "good old days" of Australian society, the days before "politically correct, cafe latte drinking softies" dominatated our thinking. But is it merely a throw back to a time that never existed, or a time that no one wants to go to? Where does a movie that aims to "offend everyone" sit in relation to these aims, and how does a distributor go about marketing it?
